A goal deep into injury time denied Little Common all three points on their visit to Clymping on Saturday and they had to settle for 2-2 draw in an entertaining match. Common began the brighter of the two teams and made their early pressure count in the 11th minute when Adam Fisher raced to the byline to pull the ball across goal and despite Lewis Hole being unable to reach the header the ball fell to Jared Lusted who fired into the net. Common looked to extend their lead and Ricky Mote saw an effort blocked by the home keeper before Hole saw an effort hit a defender. The home side pushed forward towards the end of the half and tested keeper Richie Gray on a number of occasions forcing him to turn two efforts around the post and get down to block bravely at the far post. Clymping started the second half with a renewed belief and were somewhat gifted an equaliser when a penalty was harshly awarded for a trip in the area when it appeared that the attacker had merely tripped over the ball. The penalty was duly dispatched and the scores were level. Ping rarely troubled the Common goal after this and it was Common who looked most likely to snatch a winner. Hole saw an effort on the turn drift narrowly wide and Lusted saw an effort saved by the home keeper. With four minutes remaining Fisher raced into the box and delivered a cross to Hole who was on hand to prod home his fourteenth league goal of the season and what appeared to be Common's winner. However, with their final attack of the match Ping grabbed an unlikely equaliser when a cross into the box saw a header cannon off the crossbar only to fall at the feet of Gaskin twelve yards out who found the bottom corner of the net.

Squad: Gray, O'Callaghan (May), Humphrey, Steward, R.Mote (Matthews), Rogers, Fisher, Lister, Hole, Funnell, Lusted.

Little Common Under 16's maintained their position at the top of the Sussex Sunday League Division 2 table with a 3-1 victory over Peacehaven Youth. Common failed to find their true form but raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to a Jake Sherwood free kick and a neat finish from Tom Cann. Peacehaven pulled a goal back before half time but a well worked goal from Benji Hammond sealed the points for Common.

Little Common Under 14 Minors returned to league action with a 7-0 win against Ridgewaye. Good finishing from Nick Cox saw Common lead 2-0 at half time with Steve 'Macca' Willis proving solid in defence winning all the high balls and producing some strong tackles. Substitutes Bright Temba, Ryan Foord and Elliott Lusted all had a positive impact in the second half as Common hit another five through Wes Bray, Tom Frazer-Bates, Ryan Johnson, Foord and Temba. Brad Bray played well in the Common midfield.

Little Common Utd U14’s lost 3-2 against Tackleway Panthers in the League Cup. Common played some good football at times but allowed Tackleway too much time on the ball in a 15 minute spell. Will Harvey, Oliver Greene and George Carroll played well in midfield. Keeper Ash Oliver and Captain Reece Powell also had good games. Commons goals came from Harry Turner and Jake Faulkner.

Little Common Under 13's produced a disappointing performance after a lengthy break losing their double header with league leaders Saltdean United 2-0 and 7-0. Byron Nichol played well for Common.

Little Common Under 12's won 6-2 against Tackleway thanks to goals from Rosh Wells 2, Harri Harris 2, Luke Dando and Harvey Fuller. Matt Greenwood and George Chapman both performed well for Common.

Little Common Under 10 Minors produced a good team performance and were unfortunate to go down 1-0 to a deflected goal against Sedlescombe Rangers.

Little Common Under 9 Minors ran out convincing winners in the Under 9 Rother League Cup with a 16-1 victory against Sedlescombe Rangers White. Harry Davies and Toby Fuller marshaled the home defence well whilst goals came from Lloyd Francis 7, Matt Astle 4, Jack Samways 2, Austin Gann 2 and a goal apiece for Alvin Scott and Will Daniels.
